Very nice overall layout. However, thanks to the many tele perspectives,
your video also tells us how *not* to lay track :-)). There are way too
many horizontal and vertical kinks in the trackwork, missed railjoiners,
and the like, which almost certainly would derail steam locomotives with
small pilot wheels. Also, the module transitions are not really what you
call accurate: rails are bent up and trains basically have to “jump” from
module to module. Call me a nitpicker, I don’t care but once I noticed that
at about 2:22 minutes into the video, I started looking and found a whole
    bunch of those issues (3:38, 7:28, 10:44, 12:19, 13:40, 16:29, 17:36, and
    the list goes on)…

Very Nice layout. I have to agree with Frankles Graham though. You run
your trains too fast. I think it would be more fun to look at if you ran
your trains at a more prototypical speed. Nice detail on the layout
    though!

Picky picky! ,yes run too fast ,yes track screwy, yes thing are not
perfect,But really great to see. But with the prices now ,would be way
beyond some Peoples Finances, with the costs of Items. Just look at all the
    work involved!

Excellent Humongous layout. I see Russia has 1 as well ,but not as large
and more City animation and less trains,But they do have a conveyor setup
to Change trains. Both are amazing. Wish I had 1 half as nice.(mine went in
    boxes years ago) only 2 -4×8 tables…..LOL.

Nice, I have Marklin Trains, and am planning on building my own “dream
layout” once I have renovated my current house so that I will have a large
train room. I really enjoy watching the videos for inspiration and to get
some ideas… thks for sharing your videos.

Cute monorail in Wuppertal Germany. Great.

  • Frankles Graham says:

You run your trains TOO FAST. The speed also accentuates that the
    tracklaying is very poor.

    Perfect video! Wonderful images.

And, there are a trolleybus museum, a great central station and a small
city model with a model of the famous Wuppertal monorail. There are model
vehicles from the Faller Car System, too. In 1989, a some model railroaders
joined together for founding an model railroad club. Now, almost 25 years
later, there are 50 members of that club, and they develop model railroad
modules. The club has got one of the largest portable model railroad
systems in Germany. They always built at a scale of 1:87, respectively in
H0 scale. Trains are running either in two or in three wire operation with
analog or digital control. The club room has become too small to show
nearly 168 individual modules, so the model railroaders present their model
train layout regularly at model train exhibitions. In May 2014, Pilentum
could visit a variety of these model train modules. Please visit
http://www.pilentum.de for watching 95 photos of this model train layout,
    for free.

Correct me if i’m wrong but these layouts are not the layouts from Pilentum
but from modellrailway fairs where Pilentum has made this and other movies.
Thanks for the movies. It shows us how to and better how not to 🙂
    Thanks!!
